Finishing the year on a high

After the really terrible news of Andy Eglin's passing in September, I'm pleased to say that as we fast approach the end of the year, I've recently returned from a fun four-day trip to France with my Brother, my Dad and one of his colleagues, Phil. This trip marks what I hope will be the first of many forays into foreign parts with Dad after all these years. Click here for the photo set.

In other news

At around the same time as we lost Andy, I travelled out to Hong Kong (see pictures) to play Best Man to Paul Carter who married Lillian at a lovely ceremony. This trip to Hong Kong was great too, but felt too due to the wedding preparations and then of course, my thoughts turned to the funeral to come.

On the work side of things, I am still very happy in my technology strategy role at Virgin Media, the UK's cable provider.

Cex Really matters - my attempt at blogging!

Now that my website is in it's 11th year, I thought I ought to catch up with the times and start a blog. Seeing as 'improving the lot of the customer' is dear to my heart, I decided to base my blog on that very topic. Holding my hands up, I realise there's a fair bit of work involved in terms of motivating yourself to write regularly, but I'm confident that as I get the bug and others start to see the site, the writing juices will once again flow!
